So I was looking at my Facebook news feed the other day, and I saw an impressive rendering of Jade from Mortal Kombat scroll by. While I’ve only played Mortal Kombat a handful of times at a friend’s house, many many years ago, I remember the game as part of the fabric of the video gaming universe. Plus, the Mortal Kombat dragon in the background seems kinda fitting here.
Of course, almost every time I see this image or anything else Mortal Kombat related, I get Miracle of Sound’s Mortal Kombat Party stuck in my head.
Check it out:
So with permission from the artist, tn3h at deviantart.com, we are pleased to share this rendering of Jade:
Info on Jade & Mortal Kombat (from wikipedia.org):
“Jade is a video game character from the Mortal Kombat series. She debuted in Mortal Kombat II (1993), at first as an unplayable secret character. She became a player character in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 in 1995. Eventually, Jade became one of stalwart supporting characters, usually linked to Princess Kitana, and is also featured as an evil-aligned character in some of related media in the Mortal Kombat franchise.
Jade received mostly positive critical attention, largely due to her sex appeal. She is also noted to be one of most powerful characters in the series gameplay-wise.”
